Please join the Worcester Regional Chamber of Commerce in welcoming Chrystal Kornegay, Executive Director of the Massachusetts Housing Finance Agency - or MassHousing - to the first Construction and Real Estate Roundtable of 2022! Ms. Kornegay will speak on one of MassHousing's newest programs, the CommonWealth Builder Program. The program, with a pool of $60 million in funding, aims to create new affordable homeownership opportunities in Gateway Cities like Worcester by providing subsidies of up to $150,000 per unit and $5 million per project to developers building single-family homes or condominiums.

CommonWealth Builder is an essential tool for Massachusetts cities to reinforce their sense of community and build on goals for equitable homeownership. Ms. Kornegay will review the programs' effectiveness so far in transforming urban areas in the Commonwealth and explain the eligibility requirements and application process.
