Dr. Jeremiah Riordon
Director of the Center for Business and Industry
Worcester State University
Dr. Riordon is an experienced professor, teacher, trainer, and subject matter expert in online teaching and learning. He has been lecturing in the classroom at public and private institutions since 1995 with class sizes ranging from 12 to 125 students, developed and instructed 250+ online courses since 1999, and has taught more than 3,600 students online.
After surveying hundreds of former online students, and facilitating many focus groups to determine the best practices of the most successful online students, Dr. Riordon has compiled a list of the Top Ten (10) Best Practices of Successful Online Students. Adopting some, or all, of these habits will improve a students chance of succeeding online, and also enable parents to help their student/child map out a pathway of good habits in an online instructional environment.
