We are looking for a full-time Senior Welding Engineer who loves working in a dynamic environment and is excited to grow with a team around advanced additive welding technologies. As a welding engineer with Solvus Global you will work with team members from many fields (mechanical, controls, software, etc.) to identify part-production opportunities, define the material and process challenges, develop the process & procedure, validate the process, and ultimately deploy the process into full production. As a senior welding engineer on this team, you will especially be responsible for supporting rapid innovation in material and process development, as well as interfacing with external customers to ensure that our teams meet their needs. Your day-to-day responsibilities will include leading team activities, developing welding parameters, building large parts for customers, selecting ideal materials, designing fixturing, and driving the business case for additive manufacturing.

Required Attributes & Skills
  • Minimum of five years’ experience in Welding engineering
  • Demonstrated experience operating welding equipment (robotic preferred)
  • Experience in additive manufacturing
  • Experience leading teams in project execution
  • Demonstrated capability of interfacing with external customers
Advantageous Attributes & Skills
  • Degree in Mechanical, Materials or Welding Engineering
  • Excellent communication skills
