Today MBSR is taught to people throughout the world who are experiencing challenges in all areas of life. Professionals can earn 26 Continuing Education Credits (CEUs) upon completion. If you are seeking CEU's\, be sure to add them to your cart. \n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nThe motivation for many to enroll in MBSR begins with a desire to live in a way that\n\n\n\nincorporates key aspects of stress-reduction\, awareness\, and a sense of being in touch with oneself\n\n\n\nand the life around you. Through the regular training in mindfulness that an MBSR course offers\, participants\n\n\n\nbecome familiar with their behavior patterns\, especially concerning stressful situations. They also\n\n\n\nlearn that though they cannot always change the circumstances in which they find themselves\, they can\n\n\n\nchoose how to respond to them. In MBSR this process is described as going from reacting to responding\,\n\n\n\nwith the latter involving a clearer perception of circumstances through being in touch with the\n\n\n\nthoughts\, sensations\, and emotions that are present.\n\n\n\n \n\n\n\nParticipants will learn:\n\n\n\n1. A broad repertoire of informal and formal meditation and mindfulness practices and cultivate a\n\n\n\nsystematic way to integrate them in their everyday lives.\n\n\n\n2. Approach your life with more composure\, energy\, understanding and enthusiasm.\n\n\n\n3. Develop the ability to cope more effectively with both short-term and long-term stressful\n\n\n\nsituations\, gaining insight into response rather than reaction.\n\n\n\n4. Enhance your ability to manage and reduce pain levels.\n\n\n\n5. Improve your focus\, resilience\, and capacity to recover quickly from challenging events.\n\n\n\n6. Cultivate a natural capacity to actively engage in caring for yourself and find greater balance\, ease\,\n\n\n\nand peace of mind.\n\n\n\n7. Articulate the key aspects of mindfulness as it relates to stress reduction\, coping with pain and\n\n\n\nillness and enhancing well-being\n\n\n\n8. Practice and apply mindfulness techniques in both personal and professional settings as a means of\n\n\n\ncontending more effectively with the demands of life\, and to facilitate more effective and mindful\n\n\n\ncommunication X-ALT-DESC;FMTTYPE=text/html:
