Kennedy Community Health Center 5K Walk and Run for a Healthier Community DESCRIPTION:This June\, Kennedy CHC will host a 5k walk and run to draw attention to our mission\, raise needed funds\, and bring the community together to raise awareness of the challenges facing our patients and the community health center movement. The event: Walk a Mile in My Shoes: Kennedy CHC Walk for a Healthier Community is being held on June 1\, 2019 from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. It will begin at 19 Tacoma Street and then progress through Great Brook Valley and out to East Mountain Street back around to 19 Tacoma Street where walkers can partake in family-friendly activities\, like our bounce house\, reading corner\, music\, snacks and more! The event will end with an awards ceremony for the top finishers in the 5K run. The Regional Environmental Council's Mobile Market will also be at the event\, and we will distribute $15 coupons to use at the market for fresh produce. All event registrants will be entered into a raffle to win a fantastic prize\, courtesy of our generous sponsors! Race timing will be provided by the Central Mass Striders.
