Its mission is to catalyze the innovation and growth of service and volunteerism by creating partnerships that maximize resources\, expertise\, capacity and impact.\n\n \n\nIt currently oversees AmeriCorps and Commonwealth Corps in the Commonwealth.  Last year there were over1\,500 corps members providing service at 23 AmeriCorps and Commonwealth Corps sites. In addition\, 6750 volunteered through National Days of Service and the Youth Development Volunteer Initiative.
