He has 30 years of leadership experience in the U.S. Navy\, city government and private industry. Mr. Fraser's naval career culminated in his commanding the warship USS UNDERWOOD during Operation Iraqi Freedom. As captain\, he led a multi-national force in the Arabian Gulf protecting two Iraqi offshore oil terminals. He served as commissioner of the Boston Fire Department leading them through the 2013 Boston Marathon terrorist bombing\, 2013 Winter Storm Nemo\, and Hurricanes Sandy and Irene garnering praise for his excellent planning and response for each incident.
