Central Massachusetts is facing an “Autism Tsunami” that will
signicantly impact the regional workforce.
As more children are diagnosed with autism (1 in 68), more working parents are under
increased emotional and nancial stress. It is estimated that more than 3000 families in
Central Massachusetts have a family member with Autism, which in turn may have a
signicant impact on the family and your employee.
Help Employees Who Have Children with Autism Succeed in the Workplace
The 2nd Annual Autism Summit will address Autism and its impact on families and
on your employees, while also providing you with proven ways that employers are
supporting their employees to maintain productivity and a good working culture
within each company.
Learn What Employees Need and What Employers Can Do
You will leave with all the information and resources you need in order to include
Autism in your Employee Assistance Program. Going forward, HMEA will continue to
be a resource for both you and your employee at no cost.
