Where firefighters trade hoses for hot plates.
The Paragus Firehouse Cookoff is our annual culinary competition that brings the heat—and the heart. Worcester firehouses go head-to-head, serving up their best dishes in a battle for two top honors: the People’s Choice Award, chosen by event attendees, and the Judges’ Award, selected by a panel of local legends.
This year’s judges include:
Mayor Tom Petty
Senator Michael Moore
Jessica Walsh of Worcester Wares
Tim Quinn of Quinn’s Irish Pub
Last year, we brought over 300 people to Polar Park and raised $20,000 in support of the WFD6K and DetecTogether. This year, we’re turning up the heat even more.
It’s more than a cookoff—it’s a celebration of community, connection, and good food for a great cause. With local sponsors, proud supporters, and plenty of firehouse pride, this event dishes out flavor, fun, and a whole lot of heart.
Come hungry. Leave inspired.
