Botanical Watercolors: techniques and composition (Online Workshop) This program will be held virtually. A link to the Zoom webinar will be sent after registration in the confirmation email. This workshop will only be available live. They will not be recorded. Saturdays, 3/6/2021 - 3/27/2021 (4 Sessions) Time: 9:30-11:00AM Workshop & 15min Afternoon Consultation Max Capacity: 10 Instructor: Carol Schwartz Explore watercolor painting techniques. Try working wet on wet and wet on dry. Learn about mixing colors, layering, blending and texturing, as well as composition and balance of values. Improve your painting skills through class assignments focused on botanical subjects, painting demos, and individual video chats. This online course will be taught as a combination of individual video meetings, group video meetings, demo videos and email for keeping in touch. What to expect: Everyone will meet in the morning for a lesson and art review. After the morning session you will work on an assignment provided by the instructor. Each person will then schedule a 15 min afternoon consultation time with Carol to get personal instruction on the assignment. Materials are not provided for the workshop. Week 1: Citrus Colors, Lemons and Limes Week 2: The Many Shades of White, Camellias Week 3: Sunny Yellow with Winter Aconite Week 4: Dreaming of Spring Color, Crocus
