Take a deep breath and discover breathwork, a body-mind therapy that utilizes conscious, connected breathing. By breathing an open, healthy, connected breath our bodies naturally begin to release physical tension. As our bodies and our breath become more physically relaxed we find that this type of breathing has the capacity to release deep emotional and mental patterns as well.
Breathwork is a holistic evidence-based energy therapy that helps to restore natural diaphragmatic breath with deeper slower breathing. This naturally activates the parasympathetic nervous system producing a calm soothing self-induced state.
Breathwork therapy includes mindfulness and breath techniques. Suppressed energy held in the mind and body created through life challenges, trauma or dysfunctional self-beliefs from early childhood are released. This creates a healthier body (70% of toxins are released through the breath); less muscular skeletal body tension; and stress reduction (lower cortisol levels).
Many created life stories from the first two years of life or from trauma (I am not good enough; I am unlovable; I am powerless) are unconscious and stored in cell memory (not stored in the cortex where talk therapy reaches memories created after age three). Breathwork compliments talk therapy and empowers the self to be its own guide and restore bodily homeostasis.
