Protecting Data & Privacy: Looking Past COVID – Changes to operations, third parties, and customers
The interim measures put in place to comply with COVID-19 restrictions may continue to be with us for the foreseeable future, and have lasting impact on the way business is conducted going forward. This applies to our internal operations but also with our customers and third parties. Understanding these changes as factors impacting the controls in place to protect data and system security and privacy is very important. The investments and processes you have in place, may not be as effective in this new operating environment.
We will be looking at some of the risks faced by financial institutions with the broad use of remote/virtual interactions, both internally and externally. We will share some stories from the field of lessons learned and best practices dealing with these factors. We will also look at some of the recent developments in the threat landscape that have been targeting financial institutions.
