Guided Butterfly Walk
Event Name: Guided Butterfly Walk Event Date(s): Saturday, 6/12/2021, 2:00 PM - 3:30 PM, 1 hour, 30 minutes Instructor: Martha Gach Tower Hill's gardens and meadows provide bountiful food and shelter for a variety of butterflies in both their adult and larval forms. Join Martha Gach from Mass Audubon to learn about a butterfly’s life cycle and how you can attract them to your own gardens. Walk the gardens with us to search for and identify some local species. Martha Gach is the Mass Audubon Central Region Education Manager and the Conservation Coordinator at Broad Meadow Brook Sanctuary in Worcester, where she manages Broad Meadow Brook’s 435 acres of conservation land for wildlife and people. Dr. Gach is President of the Massachusetts Butterfly Club and she coordinated the design, installation, and maintenance of the butterfly gardens and sustainable landscape campus at Broad Meadow Brook. $15 Member Adult; $25 Adult (Registration includes admission to the Garden) Additional Program Information Please wear the appropriate attire for walking around the gardens including trails. Please note, there is currently construction happening at Tower Hill, which may result in altered or obstructed walkways, parking lots, or parking spaces, in addition to some noise.
