Altruist Brewing Company was founded as a result of the Bixby family sharing their passion for beer with a group of neighbors, all strangers who had just moved to a new town. Friendships were made, bonds were built…over a passion for beer.

Before long, Bob & Nancy teamed up with life-long friend, Chris Mancini.  As demand for their beer grew, the team at Altruist realized that they wanted to make this into something bigger… something they could share with more people. Altruist Brewing was born.

NOTE: When you pull into the mill (Sturbridge Marketplace) parking lot, please drive all the way to the back of the lot and pull around behind the building to the other side. There, you will see an entrance dedicated to the taproom facing the back parking lot.
