The Leadership Worcester scholarship fund was founded in 2021 (by the Leadership Worcester Class of 2021) to provide Leadership Worcester applicants with partial program tuition support. This initiative will expand the applicant pool by providing the potential to remove the financial barriers to participate while increasing community access to the program. Although employers are encouraged to support the tuition for employees, and there are scholarships available for candidates, there are many employers that simply cannot cover these costs for various reasons. Supporting a diverse and inclusive participant pool will prove to be beneficial to the Leadership Worcester program and Worcester community.

Fund contributions for this scholarship are 100% Leadership Worcester alumni supported. This model will have a benefit for both the program, alumni, as well as the community. Leadership Worcester alumni can support the effort in which has provided them great benefits therefore giving back to the Worcester Community while supporting future Worcester leaders and increasing alumni engagement efforts.

Help support a Worcester leader – who like you – will benefit tremendously from this enriching experience.  The program tuition cost is $3,200 per participant. Although the recommended donation amount is $25-$250, a contribution of any size will help to support our next cohort of Worcester leaders.



Scholarship funds will be awarded to program participants based on need. After selection is finalized, the Leadership Worcester Alumni Association Scholarship Selection Committee will assess scholarship applications requests with the Program Selection Committee’s recommendation to determine participants with the greatest need. The number of scholarships and the size of scholarships awarded are dependent on total contributions to the Leadership Worcester Alumni Association Scholarship fund during the previous calendar year. Suggested scholarship awards will be between $600 - $1,500 per participant but will be determined on a case-by-case basis. At the discretion of the Leadership Worcester Alumni Association, annual funds can be reserved and rolled over to the following application year.
