Pitch Like a Pro with CWE & 1 Worcester Homes

Celebrate Women's History Month with the Center for Women & Enterprise of Central MA! We have joined forces with 1 Worcester Homes to offer our first in-person event in nearly two years to connect you with the support and community you need to create your best pitch and get your name and business out there!  

Whether you have a product to sell, a vision to share, or a lender to interest in your business concept, knowing how to tell the story behind why you do what you do is key. Delivering a well-crafted story with an emotional core is a tried-and-true method of engaging and connecting with your audience. Communicating who you are clearly and succinctly (otherwise known as “giving a pitch”), however, is not an easy task.

Enter “Pitch Like a Pro with CWE!” In this in-person workshop, you will learn:

• The four different types of pitches – “Twitter”, elevator, investor, competition – and when and how to use them
• How to zero in on your value and convey that value to different types of audiences
• How to overcome nerves and sound braver than you feel, no matter what kind of pitch you are giving

After the presentation, we’ll have some fun with speed pitching, where everyone will get a chance to go around the room and give a 45-second business pitch  – like speed dating, but better! We will finish up with constructive feedback on your speed pitch, tips and tricks to improve your delivery, and an opportunity to network with other attendees.

The workshop will take place at 1 Worcester Homes located at 65 Southbridge St, Auburn, MA. Snacks, water, and other non-alcoholic beverages will be provided.
