THBG Bee Management Walk and Talk
This program will be held outdoors in the gardens. Group size will not exceed current state restrictions. Please note, there is currently construction happening at Tower Hill which may result in altered or obstructed walkways, parking lots, and parking spaces, in addition to some noise. Wednesday, May 19, 2021 10:30-11:30 AM $10 members / $20 non-members Max Participants: 15 Instructor: Hunter Blanchard Join Horticulturalist Hunter Blanchard on a journey to the bee hives of Tower Hill. Hunter will discuss our bee management at the garden and give you a glimpse into the world of pollinators. After this walk and talk you will view our gardens and meadows in a whole new way. Hunter Blanchard is an Outdoor Gardener who joined the Tower Hill team in 2018. He holds an Associates degree in Sustainable Horticulture from the Stockbridge School of Agriculture, a Bachelor's of Science in Plant, Insect, Soil Science from the University of Massachusetts Amherst and a infectious passion for the natural world around him. With experience as a residential gardener, cut-flower farmer and beekeeper Hunter brings his unique background and focus for flowers and pollinators to our natural areas where curates floriferous, productive, ecologically benefiting gardens that serve the needs of invertebrates and guests alike.
