UMASS Medical School, UMass Memorial Healthcare, and Autism Resource Central host the Central and Western MA LIGHT IT UP BLUE Autism Awareness and Acceptance Celebration as part of the international LIGHT IT UP BLUE CELEBRATION. This event is an opportunity to show support to those in Central and Western MA who may feel isolated or stigmatized, but also to celebrate the unique gifts and strengths of those who are neurodiverse.
LIGHT IT UP BLUE is a community event, free and open to the public. The festivities include family-friendly activities and entertainment, music, and food for all ages. The Autism Awareness and Acceptance Celebration will also serve as a venue where providers will share information and resources. The event culminates as the sun sets, and the UMass Medical School building lights up blue as part of the international Light It Up Blue Celebration showing solidarity with millions of people across the world who have autism.
The Event is hosted by UMass Medical School, UMass Memorial Health Care, and Autism Resources, Inc.
Sponsors include: Seven Hills Family Services, Behavioral Concepts Inc., Autism Resource and Therapy Center, Family Behavioral Health, Autism Learning Partners, Kane Drums, Berkshire Hills Music Academy.
