White Cane Day in Worcester

This event is free and open to the public.
Several vendors will demonstrate some of the latest vision technology and magnification devices. While others will show videos, provide free cane repair, and vision resources. Participating companies and agencies include: Audio Journal, Commplements, MCPHS School of Optometry, Easter Seals Newsletter, MA Association for the Blind and Visually Impaired, MA Commission for the Blind, Easter Seals equipment, New England Low Vision, Logan Tech, Worcester Public Library, VisionCam, VA Central MA Eye Clinic, WRTA, Worcester office on disability and others. Following the demonstrations there will be a Community Round table discussion.
Massachusetts White Cane Law states that All motorists, when they see a pedestrian who uses a dog guide or a white cane at a street crossing, must come to a complete stop.
