Sunday, January 17, 2021, 2:00 - 3:30 PM Instructor: Pinal Maniar Learn how to build your own loom using an inexpensive frame and nails, and then set up the warp threads. Using any yarn you like, you will learn the basic over-under motion of classic weaving, stripes and shapes which are enhanced by adding the objects found in your surroundings. You will receive a link to a video in your confirmation email on how to make your loom and the workshop time will be dedicated to making your woven craft. Material List (Not Included w/ Registration) 1. Hammer, Pencil, Ruler, Scissors, plastic fork 2. Angled tapestry needle (optional) 3. ¾” wire nails 2 dozen 4. 12” long dowel (¼” diameter) 5. 12” x 16” canvas (we will be using the wooden frame) or the size of your choice. 6. 1 ½” x 10” piece of cardboard 7. Worsted weight yarn in colors of your choosing need approximately 400 yards of white/ecru to set the warp and will be used in pattern, and one skein each of black, and 3-4 other colors of your choice (browns, beige , greens, grays, blues) 8. Found objects: dried flowers, grass, sticks Approximate Materials Cost: $20-$30
