Working on Wellness: Lunchtime COVID Fitness for Busy Businesspeople
These days, as we attempt to juggle work, family responsibilities, and homeschooling under the stress of an ongoing global pandemic, it is easy to put ourselves last. But if we have learned anything from 2020, it is that positivity, wellness, and health (mental, physical, emotional) are our most important commodity. You can prioritize your well-being and succeed as an entrepreneur – and, in fact, personal wellness and business wellness are hand in glove! CWE Central MA is therefore excited to partner with award-winning fitness and nutritional coach, Melody Schoenfeld, in this weekly series designed especially for busy businesspeople. Each week, we will alternate between a flexibility/mobility workout and a strength training workout, with an educational COVID business recovery component always included. These sessions offer a welcoming space and a judgment-free zone for entrepreneurs to destress, no matter where they are on the business and physical fitness spectrum. Come to one or come to all!
In this week’s strength training session, we will focus on core. CWE-Central MA Project Manager for COVID Business Recovery, Dawn LaRochelle, will spend the first thirty minutes sharing core business practices to set you up for success during periods of disruption (like a global pandemic!). Melody will then tie these practices in with a thirty-minute core body workout that you can replicate on your own at home with minimal equipment, including posture tips and exercises that help with pain from sitting. Please come to the session with a bottle of water or your favorite beverage for proper hydration. A yoga mat and stretch bands are helpful but not required – Melody can work with you where you are at!
