About the POSITION: The Level 2 Teacher works under the supervision of the team coordinators and program specialist, while teaching, tutoring, and providing instruction through the implementation of the scientific principles of applied behavior analysis across all hours and environments for the students. 

About YOU: You have a strong interest in working with children and young adults with special needs. You are collaborative and aspire towards gaining knowledge and understanding of the principles of ABA and best educational practices.   


  • Teaching as part of a team of professionals to maximize students’ skills and independence 

  • Implementing educational programs and behavior management guidelines in 1:1 and small group formats 

  • Utilizing behavior analytic teaching procedures across classroom, community, and residential settings 

  • Instructing students in general curriculum areas, communication, social skills, activities of daily living (ie personal hygiene), vocational, adaptive physical education, and self-preservation. 

  • Diligent implementation of all medical, safety, and emergency procedures. 



  • Completion of all role responsibilities, which may include case management, shift management or other specialty roles as defined by team assignment and need.    

  • Thorough knowledge and competent implementation of all student educational programs and behavior management guidelines.

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, consideration for individuals pursuing associate’s or bachelor’s degree 

  • Interest in working with children or young adults diagnosed with autism and related special needs 

  • Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation (or ability to obtain) 

  • Successful completion of the NECC training program, including CALM.
