Free seminar for enrolled college students from the region’s 12 colleges and universities which will teach attendees how to write grants making them more marketable to organizations and companies seeking interns and employees with those skills.

Foundation Grants-- Completing a grant application, proposal, or letter of inquiry, ensuring it’s highly competitive and thorough.
Federal and State Grants-- Learn to understand highly technical and involved government grants and ensure the application package meets their rigorous standards.
Writing and Editing-- How to compose a clear message and followed instructions provided by the grantmaker.
About the presenter:
Karen Henry is the grant writer for the Middle District Attorney’s Office in Worcester County, Massachusetts. She has twelve years of experience in grant research, application and administration. She has secured and managed grant funding from state, federal, and private sources. Her past experience includes the Worcester Public Schools grants office, providing support on hundreds of proposals and awards for a school district serving approximately 25,000 students annually. As the first grant writer for the Middle District Attorney’s Office, she designed the office’s grant procedures from the ground up, while working with staff to build capacity and establish funding priorities and goals.
