Pop Up Yoga: Full Moon Yin Yoga This program will be held indoors in one of our well-ventilated classrooms. Group size will not exceed current state restrictions. Thursday, January 28, 2021, 6:00-7:15 PM Instructor: Mandi Garrison Bask in the moonlight and calm your nervous system with a nourishing yin practice. Yin yoga involves deep stretching on the floor with gentle poses typically held for 3-5 minutes. The muscular relaxation involved in a yin practice helps to target joints, fascia, and connective tissue; it is wonderful for circulation, flexibility, balance, and reducing stress. The practice may include some gentle warm-ups, as well as centering and guided relaxation. Mandi is an experienced 500-hour Kripalu yoga instructor and a yoga practitioner for nearly 20 years. Her calming and intuitively guided classes aim to provide energetic balance and a refuge from the hectic activities of daily life. Mandi’s background begins with the rich practices of Iyengar, Vinyasa, Yin, Restorative, and Kundalini yoga -- and expands to specialize in intuitive sequencing, seasonal yoga practices, yoga for special populations, and guiding pranayama, meditation, and relaxation.
